As a Boston photographer, I am always honored to be able to capture special and memorable events. My job gives me the opportunity to have fun every single day of the week, I can travel to old and new places in the Boston area and meet amazing people. Here are some of the events my job has taken me on one week in April:
A Truly talented jazz harpist at the Scullers Jazz Club:
I was hired to shoot the first headlining concert for jazz harpist, Charles Overton. It was a fantastic show and musicians are always a blast to shoot. I’ve always considered it a treat. Ironically, I got this job from one of my contacts in the wedding world Felice Pomeranz, one of his teachers.
Porsche Norwell for the unveiling of the new 911:
I was hired by event planner extraordinaire Carol McKean for a swanky little event planned to unveil the new Porsche dealership in Norwell and the new Porsche 911. Guests walked down a red carpet, enjoyed a whiskey tasting and a fabulous raw bar and hors d’oeuvres while waiting for the unveiling. And what a car!
Crazy funky Brian Thomas/ Alex Lee-Clark Big Band at the Ryles Jazz Club:
This job was for fun. Did I mention I love shooting musicians? Brian is a former client of mine. I had the honor of shooting his wedding this winter. His big band was playing at Ryles and I just couldn’t help but grab my camera and start shooting!
Harvard University at the Negotiation & Leadership Conference 2016:
And now for something totally different. This was a multi-day conference with several amazing keynote speakers. I love shooting conferences. Does that sound strange? I’m sure it does. How boring right? But I manage to get great images and learn something new along the way. I was absolutely riveted listening to Stefanie Johnson talking about women and minority leadership in business.
Boston Public Garden with an amazing 2016 Couple:
What better way to end the week than with a nice walk through Boston with a lovely couple on a beautiful day! Engagement sessions give me the opportunity to shoot in a relaxed way I just don’t get during a wedding. I get a chance to get to know my clients better and help them feel more comfortable in front of the camera!
