Alexandra and Tim’s Romantic Estate Wedding

I just love how Alexandra and Tim created their wedding theme. Everywhere you looked, there was a reminder of two things they love. The two share a globe collection and Alexandra is an avid (to say the least) reader. So naturally, their decor and centerpieces were all composed of globes and books. And the best part is all of the books came from Alexandra’s own collection! Apparently, it was just a small sample of her collection. Girlfriend likes to read! They also had one of my all time favorite place card ideas. Each place card was on a library card and they were all filed away in a card catalog. It tied into their theme perfectly! The wedding day was a gorgeous fall day at the Harding Allen Estate. The couple got ready right at the estate and had their ceremony in the outdoor garden. There was no lack of gorgeous background for the formal photos all around the property. And guests finished the celebration in the estate ballroom where Tim’s friends (including some band members of Tim’s) showed their rock and roll roots on the dance floor. It was a great party! Natalie + Chris’ Boston Marriott Long Wharf Wedding

This season has been filled with the weddings of siblings of former clients. And that’s such a compliment! I remember Natalie’s mom telling me at the end of her brother’s wedding that she had a daughter who would be getting engaged soon and I could expect a call. I was so excited to see the Drummy family again! Now, no bride wants rain on her wedding day. But they normally get past bad weather knowing they are about to married to the love of their life. Natalie was so excited, I don’t even think she noticed it was raining! We didn’t have a chance to sneak out for a single outdoor photo. And it didn’t matter one bit! They were both absolutely on cloud nine all evening.

Melissa + Timothy’s Seaport Boston Wedding

When getting to know Melissa and Tim, it was obvious their friends and family were very important to them. They found a way to incorporate every guest into their ceremony and it was so lovely! Each guest was given a penny as they were seated. And a special point in the ceremony the guests were asked to take out their penny and to make a wish for the couple. They were invited to drop the penny in a special jar the two had engraved for the ceremony. Melissa and Tim also made their wish and dropped the penny into the jar. It was so touching! Possibly my new favorite ceremony addition! It was beautiful celebration all evening!

Vicky + Zhihuai’s Elegant Four Season’s Wedding

Vicky and Zhihuai’s wedding was a lovely mix of tradition and modern style. Vicky started the day in lovely white gown made for a princess and finished the evening in a stunning red evening dress true to tradition. And of course, the property they chose to be married at certainly mirrors that same style. I just love shooting at the Four Seasons Boston. Not only is the property stunning. There are so many gorgeous options available for outdoor shooting as well. We had a great time wandering the city with the wedding party!

GinaMaree + Ryan’s Autumn Wedding in New England

Gina + Ryan are a wonderful couple. I’m so happy their wedding day turned out so lovely! We woke up to the threat of rain. But that quickly dissipated and was replaced by lovely blue sky the second I started shooting. We were able to sneak out and get a great backdrop of foliage outside Gina’s parent’s home where she was getting ready. The sun even stayed out long enough for us to sneak in some fabulous courtyard images at the church after the ceremony. And the party! Wow! These two have some fun friends. The dance floor was a blast!

Elizabeth + Paul’s Salem Wedding

It’s been a while since I’ve done a home town wedding. And I was thrilled to be a part of this one! After shooting Paul’s sister’s wedding, it was an honor to be contacted by Elizabeth for their wedding. Paul and Elizabeth were married in a beautiful church in Salem and celebrated their nuptials at Salem’s Hawthorne Hotel. The lack of daylight didn’t stop us from taking some fabulous photos in the park right next door. I love me some evening photos!

Kimberly + Mark’s Hyatt Harborside Wedding

I’m very fond of Kimberly + Mark! And I was thrilled that despite their quiet and gentle natures, they decided to have this goofy girl around on their wedding day. They had a lovely Sunday afternoon wedding at the Hyatt Harborside. If you’ve never been there, it is one of the best views of the city skyline ever! I love how the setting sun changed the look of the sky, the city and the ballroom with each hour. I’m sure you’ll see what I mean from these images!

Rebecca + Josh’s Seaport Boston Wedding

Rebecca + Josh’s wedding was a true celebration. They were one of the happiest couples I’ve ever seen and their friends and family couldn’t have been more thrilled to witness their union. It was a beautiful day at Boston’s Seaport Hotel, but it was so windy! Normally, we play outside by the city skyline and arches and this was simply not possible. Rebecca may have blown away! I was so happy to be able to take advantage of a quiet little corner surrounded by some lovely foliage. One of the many things I love about Seaport. There are always options!

Annie + Mark’s Brookstone Wedding

What a great day! I can’t say enough about how fun and lovely Annie + Mark are. So I’ll stick to my favorite story of the day. Annie + Mark decided to do all their photos before the ceremony so we arranged a private first look for them. And while Annie + Mark are both fun and outgoing (OK, that’s an understatement for Annie…you’ll see), they were nervous about being the center of attention during the ceremony. They had written their own vows, but really didn’t think they could get though them with all their guests looking on. So they decided to read their special vows during the first look. Oh, so lovely!!!! It was obvious how special Annie + Mark are to each other. Just take a look at the beautiful emotion in the slide show. And THANK YOU to the spectacular Meg Donovan for the gorgeous decor. Fabulous!

Jocelyn & Nick’s Boston Engagement Session

Remember when you didn’t need eight layers to leave the house? We had the perfect weather for this Fall Engagement Session! Sigh. When thinking about an engagement session, I always tell my clients to choose a spot that is special for them. Find a location that will speak to their relationship and personalities. Jocelyn and Nick love the city! And we had a blast wandering around. We started with a drink at the bar in the Omni Parker Hotel. The Omni Parker Hotel also happens to be the location of their wedding reception, so it was extra special. The large windows and dark wood were perfect for a shoot. It was cozy, comfortable and romantic! We finished by taking a walk in the Public Garden. Jocelyn & Nick are true naturals in front of the camera. But I think it also helped that they were in an environment they loved.
