Erica and Eric are a lot of fun and I really enjoyed their wedding day. It was a beautiful fall day and we were able to take advantage of some lovely foliage at Cedar Grove Cemetery (yes, you heard me!). Who knew we’d find such perfect backdrops in a cemetery! It goes to show you, never say never. I also love seeing how my clients use special touches to personalize their wedding. Erica added a beautiful touch to her bouquet. She was able to keep the history of her parent’s and grandparent’s marriages with her all evening by sewing her mother’s and grandmother’s wedding bands into her bouquet. It was lovely!
I can’t begin to tell you how fond I am of Heidi and Joe! I’ve been looking forward to their wedding ever since their engagement shoot. And it did not disappoint! First, it doesn’t get more elegant than the Four Seasons Hotel. They even make comfort food elegant. Check out the fabulous munchies served during the cocktail hour. The staff and setting were just a joy. And I was surrounded all day by the most fun and talented people! Honey from Lotus Designs decorated the ballrooms impeccably. I spent the entire day with Jeremy from Folster Video and he was a great date (it didn’t hurt that we’re both incurable geeks)! And we were entertained by the one and only Hip Pocket Orchestra. But most importantly, Heidi and Joe are the cutest couple! They are best friends and the only thing they love more than each other is their adorable dog who made a special appearance that day. Check out his bow tie! Love it!!!

Ryker is now just over four months old and has already had four major heart surgeries. Although it is incredibly long, I feel it’s important to spell out Rykers full diagnosis to show just what this amazing baby has been through. His specific medical diagnosis is… Heterotaxy RAI (right atrial isomerism) with Asplenia, Right Dominant AtrioVentrical Canal (AVC), Total Anomalous Pulmonary Vein Return (TAPVR), Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV), Left-Sided Pulmonary Vein Stinosis (PVS), & Ventricular Discordance. He also has Heart Block, therefore he has an internal PaceMaker. So Jay and Rachel Warner uprooted their family and brought Ryker to Children’s Hospital. Before Ryker goes in for his fifth major heart surgery, Rachel (a true photo buff) wanted to have a family portrait taken. I was honored to lend my skills. Luckily, Children’s Hospital has a lovely courtyard that we were able to utilize for the portraits. It was Ryker’s first time outdoors ever. You should have seen him looking around! I […]
